“First of all, let's see.
How does powder coating work?”
Let's see why?
The painted structure Powder Coating systemIt's better than normal oil paint!
Powder Coating
The paint itself has the appearance of powder like powder (Powder Paint). It uses only one melting technology. (Thermosetting) can be sprayed and baked at 180-200 degrees to make the powder. Melts the coating and sticks it in one piece with the work piece.

How many types of powder coating systems?
The first thing that’s cool about powder coating is the beautiful colors. Texture granules can be mixed to add texture to the surface. The design we have is a SAHARA sand surface, which when rubbed with your hand, You can feel Texture with sand grains covering it, making it look more luxurious and neat. which is more expensive Plus, it’s much more durable than oil paint (in America, they have lab results tested… the results are 10 times more durable).
Next, let’s get to know the spraying process, mainly the ones that are popular today. There are 2 types of spraying process:
- Conveyor Belt There is a standard cleaning process for workpieces with chemical solutions. Very beautiful and the quality is of the highest standard. But the investment is very expensive. (So we compromise for something better)
Basic cart type: sprayed and carted into the oven. There is no process for cleaning the workpieces. Easy to start, economical, may result in inferior workpiece quality.
What are the general properties of powder coatings?:
– Has high paint film hardness
– Is resistant to chemicals
– Is durable against UV rays
– Is durable against scratching. The smoothness of the paint film is good.
– Is durable against humidity (It’s not that it won’t rust. But it’s 10 times more durable than oil paint.)
Now let’s get to the working process. You will be able to see the picture more clearly.
Surface preparation
- Start by cleaning using a grease and rust remover.
- Next, prepare the surface with Iron Chromate and prepare the surface with Zinc Phosphate.
- Rinse with water one last time. (with deionized water) The final rinse water should be checked to be at normal temperature. The measured value should be less than 30 uS/cm.
- Conveyed into the oven To allow the workpiece to dry completely and be ready for painting.
Next, the work piece is transported which is hung on a Conveyor Belt which is already equipped with an electrical pole system.- Transporting workpieces into the powder spray booth with an electric gun, +/- terminals, Automation (Robot) type.
- The powder color will catch the work piece. The falling powder can be absorbed and reused. (Let’s save the world)
- Transport the workpiece to bake at a temperature of 180-200 degrees for 10-20 minutes (depending on the workpiece).
- Powder or powder paint melts and coats the piece in an eternal love pattern.
The final step is to unload the workpiece for packaging. Protect the beautiful workpiece with good logistic grade protection film so that it is ready for further transportation.
At this point, everyone probably already knows what Powder Coating is? How is it good? Hope it will be useful to everyone.
